Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using Montgomery County Busted Mugshots, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept every condition, stop using the site.

This is a privately owned reference with no government, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections affiliation. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or other FCRA-covered services. We are not private investigators or a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

The site points visitors toward Montgomery County booking, custody, court, warrant, city, and state-corrections resources. It stores no official records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a document.

Some pages also connect visitors with independent research tools. Those services operate under their own terms, prices, and data practices.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must remain lawful and must not harm another person, the service, or its systems.

  • Do not break any law through or in connection with the site.
  • Do not stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or target anyone.
  • Do not use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision.
  • Do not seek unauthorized access to accounts, servers, data, or code.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not interfere with access or operation for other visitors.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

You agree not to use any information obtained here for:

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision
  • Housing, leasing, or tenant screening
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, benefits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to sheriff, police, jail, court, corrections, government, legal-aid, news, federal locator, and commercial search resources. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control an outside site’s content, accuracy, privacy practices, security, prices, availability, or terms. Review those rules before using the destination.

No Warranties

The service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that:

  • Information is complete, accurate, or current
  • Access will be uninterrupted
  • The service is free of errors, harmful code, or security weaknesses
  • A partner search will return every relevant record

Custody and public records can change at any time. Nothing here is an official statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff, Montgomery County Jail, Red Oak Police, Iowa courts, or another government office.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use, misuse, or violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property Rights

Original text, graphics, branding, logos, layout, and code belong to Montgomery County Busted Mugshots or the applicable content partner. You may not copy, republish, distribute, modify, or create derivative material without written permission, except where law expressly allows.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. The revised version becomes effective when posted. Continued use after publication means acceptance of the new terms.

Suspension of Access

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Iowa Governing Law

These terms are governed by Iowa law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Iowa.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
